ESR Jio Wallet Stand for $43: Apple’s Find My app lets you track your devices if they’re lost, and ESR’s JioWallet has it built right into the wallet itself. This is the wallet I’ve been using for the past few weeks, and aside from the Find My capabilities, I love that it strikes a great balance between size and usability. ESR says it can hold up to three cards, but I’ve been using four of my cards – three cards and my ID – and I can take them all out easily. Although it’s weird to have a wallet with a magnetic charging pin – the Find My feature requires a battery that lasts three months – you can turn it off if you don’t care about it (but then again, maybe buy a different wallet). This is the kind of problem that you need a proprietary charger to recharge your wallet. The magnets stick well to the back of the phone, and you can use it as a kickstand with the wallet open. The ESR also includes a strap on the back that works as a phone grip.

Otterbox Symmetry Series Cactus Leather MagSafe Wallet for $45:It’s nice and simple, thin, lightweight, holds strong on my phone case, and offers a dedicated fabric-covered slot at the bottom for pushing cards out (I was able to fit three in without any trouble). This Otterbox wallet is made from cactus-based leather, which feels almost as luxurious as real leather. Just know that cactus leather isn’t as eco-friendly as it’s made out to be – these cases still have layers of plastic attached.

Apple FineWoven MagSafe Case for $59: Whenever the wallet gets separated from your iPhone, you’ll get an alert and you can track it in Apple’s Find My app. It has a single slot that can fit up to three cards, but to get the card out, you have to remove it from your iPhone and push the card up through the slot on the back. Unfortunately, Apple’s MagSafe wallets exclusively use the company’s proprietary FineWoven material (made from recycled materials). It’s an admirable effort to reduce reliance on leather production, but several WIRED reviewers have said that the material doesn’t hold up as well after a while.

Bluebonnet Minimalist Full-Grain Leather MagSafe Wallet Card Holder for $68: Bluebonnet’s wallet is slim, even with cards inside, and it comes with an elastic grip that you can put your fingers through to hold the phone more securely. The magnets are stronger than other wallets I’ve tested, although the bottom wiggles a bit when using the grip. Bluebonnet claims it can fit up to three cards, but I was only able to fit two (my license and debit card). There is a struggle to insert or remove more than this.

Oh snap! Snap Grip Wallet: I had high hopes for it, mainly because of its build quality. The wallet is aluminum, holds up to eight cards (depending on whether they have letter writing on them or not), has MagSafe support, and comes with a grip that also serves as a kickstand. Unfortunately, the grip is made of plastic, and it broke after a short time (it won’t bend back into place properly). The magnetic grip isn’t as strong as other MagSafe wallets, even with the MagSafe-approved case on my phone. None of this is great, especially at such a high price.

Benx 600D MagSafe Wallet with Stand:The Benx 600D MagSafe Wallet may be made with cleaver, but it certainly doesn’t feel like it. The inner shell of the wallet is made of plastic, and after only a day of use, I noticed a crack in that plastic right next to the hinge. Even worse, I tried applying a little pressure to see if the hinge would still hold, which ended up completely deforming the MagSafe ring. Even without the obvious durability issues, this wallet wouldn’t top the list. It’s reasonably priced at $30 and comes in some attractive colors, but it’s limited to only three cards, and there’s no easy way to get them out.
