10 Things to Remember About ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’

five nights at freddys 2 There’s less than a month to go, so we’re getting ready for another trip to our favorite Cursed Children’s pizza joint by revisiting Blumhouse and Universal Pictures’ first film.

First five nights at freddy’s Director Emma Tammy puts a fun spin on the lore of the games created by Scott Cawthon and weaves it into a horror gateway flick for newcomers to the genre or those interested in a cinematic approach to the franchise. Hey, we took a look at the animatronics from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, and our Chuck E. Cheese’s Band puppet nostalgia got activated. The genre mashup was exciting, plus the beloved plush and new favorite icons like Chica and Cupcake stole our hearts (especially at this year’s Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights).

Here’s a recap of everything you need to remember five nights at freddy’s Before its sequel releases on December 5.

Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) is haunted by the kidnapping of his younger brother Garrett in the ’80s. In the present day of the film, it is the 2000s, and he is now the adult caregiver to his youngest sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), following the death of their mother and the absence of their father.

2. Mike took the worst job ever

After attacking a father at the mall – mistakenly thinking the man was kidnapping his own child – Mike loses his job and gets into trouble as Abby’s guardian. His meddling aunt tries to swoop in to obtain custody by obtaining guardianship money from the state. Mike’s last ditch effort to get a job, any job, lands him on the desk of Steve Raglan (Matthew Lillard), who offers him a job no one else can stop.

3. Job: Night Shift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza

That job becomes night guard at a now-closed Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a formerly popular children’s entertainment center and pizzeria known for its beloved animatronic mascot performers. Raglan plays the role of the caller in the game who instructs him on what to do to keep the owner happy, i.e. keeping people out and keeping the place clean. Mike monitors the television screen through the security broadcast, revealing the separation five nights Feeling.

4. The past is all connected

Throughout the night, Mike continues to fight his inner demons, which come in the form of recurring nightmares about the day Garrett was taken. However, his dreams take a turn as he sees new children appearing in his dreams that were not there before. When he wakes up, he realizes that the animatronics that were supposed to be watching him may be watching him.

5. Deaths in this world are literally like hell

The first victims of the animatronic gang are led by Abby’s babysitter, who has been bribed by Mike’s aunt in an attempt to sabotage her new job. The babysitter and his friends break into the house and vandalize it, eventually turning into broken toys for Freddy and his friends. The babysitter meets such a brutal death, she is cut in half by Freddy. However, this is what she deserves for encroachment etc.

6. Ghosts exist!

Mike is forced to take Abby with him to spend the night at Freddy’s because Abby’s caregiver doesn’t show up. There, like us, she becomes enamored with the puppet animals, who look very cute and friendly. They similarly become obsessed with Abby and immediately tell her and Mike that they are alive. As it turns out, the animatronics are controlled by the ghosts of missing children: Gabriel (Freddy), Cassidy (Golden Freddy), Jeremy (Bonnie), Fritz (Foxy), and Susie (Chica). Earlier, Mike learned that Freddy Fazbear had turned up when five children went missing at the same location in the ’80s – thanks to Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail), the police officer who investigates the location during the day.

Vanessa arrives and tells Mike that she knows haunted puppets, and they spend cute, fun playtime together. Abby finds their adorable pictures, but notices they all have one constant: a mysterious yellow rabbit, who they all mention as a scary presence. Vanessa encourages Mike to keep Abby away from the animatronics as there may be too much of them. The adorable friendship between Abby, Freddy, Foxy, Chica, and Bonnie progresses relatively quickly as the animatronics decide they want to be their friends forever. In form of forever, Through joining an animatronic suit of his own.

8. Abby was almost betrayed for information about Garrett

Since they all disappeared at the same time, it is implied that Garrett may have been kidnapped by the same person who murdered the ghost children. Mike briefly considers trading Abby for information about Garrett but quickly changes his mind because he is paranoid. As for the ghost children, who react like children, this does not go well at all, and they attempt to kill Mike in one of the decommissioned springlock suits. Thankfully, Vanessa steps in to save him.

9. The Truth About Vanessa

Meanwhile, Cassidy/Golden Freddy and the gang take matters into their own robotic hands and follow Abby to her aunt’s house to give the poisoned relative a well-earned death and get their bestie back to Freddy Fazbear. Once they all return, Vanessa confesses that she is the daughter of Freddy Fazbear’s boss, William Afton, who kidnapped and murdered the children she helped him lure. This is something she also takes as a trauma, as she knew that their bodies were hidden in animatronics.

10. The Yellow Rabbit Reveals

As Mike deactivates the animatronics before claiming Abby, the Yellow Rabbit appears to wreak havoc on the situation. It turns out that this springtrap is not operated by a ghost, but by William Afton, who presents himself as Steve Raglan, and he is very mad that so many people now know his big secret. It’s a secret that Vanessa has been carrying since she was still her father’s little girl and, by obvious implication, has helped her keep his dirty secrets close despite trying to stay on the right side of the law as an adult.

Since she saw herself as an accomplice, she kept them both largely hidden, but she attacks Mike when he tries to kill her. This results in him stabbing her, and we have to mention that Lillard wields his character’s knife the same way he did as Ghostface (a love scream Easter Egg). Abby quickly uncovers the truth about who killed her ghost friends and shows them, and they set their sights on Afton, realize she is the Yellow Bunny, and tear her apart. Afton promised he would return; He always does, because he dies in the suit.
